Rekindle ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile application that helps professionals create and share digital business cards and manage contacts. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
- Profile information you enter: name, job title, company, email, phone, LinkedIn URL, and other social links you choose to add.
- Contact information you add to the app, optionally imported from your device's contacts with your permission.
- LinkedIn data (when you use "Sign in with LinkedIn"): your LinkedIn name, profile photo, and email address, as authorized by you through LinkedIn's OAuth flow.
- Usage data: basic analytics to improve the app (no advertising data collected).
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and display your digital business card.
- To auto-fill card fields using LinkedIn profile data you authorize.
- To store and organize your contacts within the app.
- To improve app features and fix issues.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored locally on your device and, if you enable sync, on our secure servers. We do not sell your data to third parties.
4. LinkedIn Integration
When you connect LinkedIn, we use LinkedIn's official OAuth (OpenID Connect) to retrieve your basic profile data with your explicit permission. We only request the minimum scopes needed (name, photo, email). You can revoke this access at any time from your LinkedIn account settings.
5. Third-Party Services
We use OpenAI's API to help parse and structure profile information. Data sent to OpenAI is subject to OpenAI's privacy policy.
6. Your Rights
- You can delete your data from the app at any time.
- You can revoke LinkedIn access via your LinkedIn account settings.
- You can contact us to request deletion of any server-stored data.
7. Children's Privacy
Rekindle is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll post the updated date at the top of this page.
